MOARTAL KOMBAT!

The beginning reminded me of one of the themes from the Mortal Kombat movies. xD. Anyway, onto the review. I definitely enjoyed this entire piece, though there was one thing that I think could use a change. My ears hurt a tad after the beginning synth calmed down to the pizzicato synth stuff.

Like, the guitar sounding one? It's really loud. xD. I apologize for not knowing the correct term for it, but eh, I hope you understand what I mean. Other than that, you've got a great little song here, and I'm gunna check out some of your other stuff. ;D

EoD696 responds:

You know, I actually forgot the latter stuff of this piece even existed. This is slow, but it's hard and heavy, and if you can dig on some slow metal, you can dig on this. Something about slow metal always appealed to me; its intense, but not fast. Awesomeness. Anyhow, I'm glad you dig it man, hope you have digged on some of my other stuff. :-D

Phew!

Very professional, mate. Well done!

Ethril responds:

seemed the only way to do it. Simple build and progression with an easy formula equals a decent song. It takes true talent to make somehing that has no particular genre or pattern. I loved messing around with the guitar though!

Ooooh.

The name fit the sound beautifully. Well done! Very calming, very relaxing, nice mixture of sounds, and outstanding overall presentation.

For a first time, you did amazing in this track.

If you want to REALLY impress me, take it further! If this was an intro to a composition where all the instruments don't sound compressed, and you brought everything to life, I would praise you.

Well done!

Orandze responds:

Thank you very much. I was in fact trying to think of a direction for this song to go in. I didn't necessarily want to write a new melody or a terribly indepth development, so I think working on opening it up and maybe adding some different colors is a great idea for a goal.

OH SHIT!

Shit bricks.

Well done! I would have expected to hear this on a radio station or at least CD. Amazing quality, great real-ness, and crunching riffs. Awesome.

Pretty cool.

I think this is one of your best loops so far. The eerie rhythm of the (guitar?) fits in perfectly with the drums, and again, this would sound righteous with real instruments.

As..

Far as the sound itself goes, it's a little hard on the ears. BUT, as far as composition goes, you've got something with potential here. I know how hard it is to make midi instruments work well together, but you did excellent on the kicks and the overall progression.

Boobs!

This would kick fucking tits if they were actual guitars. Hell yeah.

Very cool,

But it was a bit too random for me (to be honest).

I didn't like how it just stopped, and then the piano entered, perhaps a transition would be nice in there. Otherwise, it's a very nice blend of instruments at the end, and I'll throw in a "well done" for shits and giggles.

TommyUlysesGrant responds:

thank you for the review :)

O_o...

Ahum. Sounded like it was skipping a little bit in the middle there. ;D And the bell got a little annoying. O-o

BUT! Overall, nice creepy track, very subtle and ominous. :o

Badass!

Well done! Fucking righteous, man. ;D

Favorited, 10/10!

I play quite a bit of Xbox Live, I make music with Reason 4.0 and Acid 7.0 Pro, I play electric and acoustic guitar, and I dabble in photoshop quite a bit. :]
